Starting clean.

Most practice software is sold on how safely it moves fifteen years of somebody else's records. You do not have any.

You are choosing the system your practice will grow its habits around, before the habits exist.

If you are on paper

You are not behind. You have less to undo.

Nearly one in four surveyed practices ran without practice management software in the AVMA's 2025 report. That reads as a failing. It is closer to the opposite: no duplicate records, no dead fields somebody insisted on in 2011, and no habits built around working past the software.

American Veterinary Medical Association, Economic State of the Veterinary Profession 2025 (PDF). 76.5% of surveyed practices reported using practice management software, leaving approximately 23.5% without it.

Bring your client and patient list as a CSV. We run it through the importer and show you what happens before anything is written.

The advantage nobody tells you about

Charge capture is worth more to you than to anyone else

An established practice has someone who remembers to add the vaccine to the invoice. They have done it four thousand times.

A new practice has no such person. Everyone is learning the room, the client and the software at once, and the charge is the first thing to fall off. Here, giving the vaccine raises the line. There is no separate step to forget.

Setting up

What you configure, and what is already there

Your services and your prices
You enter them and you change them, on your own screen, without asking anybody. Same for staff accounts, practice details, timezone, and your own installment arrangement if you offer one. None of it needs us.
Breed and species data, seeded
63 dog breeds and 35 cat breeds. Mixed breed and domestic short hair sit at the top, where you need them, rather than buried alphabetically. It is your list, and you can edit it.
Vital reference ranges, seeded
Nine species, shown under the field as your nurse types: dog, cat, rabbit, ferret, guinea pig, hamster, rat, bird and reptile. Reference values, not thresholds. Nothing blocks a save and nothing raises an alert. The job is to make somebody look twice.
Online booking, off until you say otherwise
Every service starts unbookable and you turn them on one at a time. Nothing is offered before you have thought about it, and nobody books a euthanasia from their phone at eleven at night.
Your own card processing
Your own Stripe account, connected from your settings and disconnected whenever you like. Your dashboard, your funds, your disputes. We can raise a charge on your behalf and cannot touch your balance, and we add nothing to Stripe's rate.
Room for the second one
Open a second site later and you add it here, not somewhere else. Each site keeps its own address, timezone and stock, and money records the branch that earned it. Your client list does not split: somebody who uses both is one client with one balance. This is new, so you would be early on it.
Reminders and recalls, on your intervals
You set how long after a visit a recall goes out, and how much notice a booster gets. The overdue list sorts by urgency. Your practice writes the message, so an owner reads that Waffles is due rather than a placeholder.

Money, when there is not much yet

$229 a month, and nothing else to find

That covers your first veterinarian and every member of support staff, at any number. A new practice hires a receptionist and a nurse long before a second veterinarian, so per-person pricing lands hardest exactly when you can least afford it. Ask any vendor you are comparing what a receptionist account costs.

No setup fee, no training fee, and no charge to convert your lists. No minimum term and no annual contract: asking a practice that has not opened yet to commit for a year is asking you to carry a risk we should be carrying.

Straight answers

Two things to settle before you choose us

Both matter more to you than to anyone else, because you are making the surrounding decisions right now.

Your analyzers
Vetmira has no connection to IDEXX, Antech or Zoetis. Results are attached and reviewed in the chart, not pulled in automatically. You are probably choosing analyzers about now, so decide this deliberately rather than discovering it later. If in-house diagnostics are central to how you practice, say so on the call and we will tell you whether to look elsewhere.
Your DEA log
Products can be marked controlled and lots are tracked, but there is no controlled substance register. If your plan has the DEA log living inside your practice software, decide that now, not a month after you open.

The full list of what Vetmira does not do is on the about page.

Going first

Founding practices

A practice that is opening is an unusually good fit for going first.

You have no data at risk and nothing to migrate. What you do have is a working day nobody has designed software around yet, and we would like to design it around yours.
